Due to a European trip, starting Sunday, my own blogging will be light to non-existent over the next week or two. I'm taking my trusty Powerbook but I've no idea how easy it will be to find wi-fi-points In Warsaw, London, and Belfast. Regardless, you'll be in good hands with this site's first guestblogger — one of my smartest friends and colleagues, Warren Berger. Warren's a journalist for a slew of national magazines, a fiction writer, and the author of two decidedly non-fiction books that have received rave reviews (the picture above is of his fine coffee-table tome Advertising Today). He's new to blogging, but he's perfect for it: curious, informed, and very good at tying together seemingly disparate strands of information. Plus, for some reason, Warren seems to get more opinionated by the day. In a good way. I'll be resuming full blogging duties around February 11.
