Moral-Equivalency Watch

The El-Qalem website about which I posted earlier today also has a page with op-ed art. Mostly, it's the to-be-expected juvenile stuff that betrays crude Photoshop skills and little evidence of originality. Bush with a Hitler mustache, Dutch prime minister Balkenende sporting the white hood of a Klansman, immigration reductionist Geert Wilders dressed as a Nazi officer. Very clever.

Yellowstar_1 The drawing replicated here continues the theme. It's a reference to the holocaust, of course — but now, according to cartoonist Hamtaro, it's apparently millions of innocent muslims who are being robbed, starved, herded onto cattle trains, sent to concentration camps, gassed, and incinerated in ovens. At least that seems to be the implication. The caption reads:

"The hate campaign against muslims... All that's lacking is the yellow star."
