Iraqi Prisoners Are Like "Cheerleaders"

So says Guy Womack, attorney for Charles Graner, the soldier currently on trial for abusing prisoners at Abu Ghraib. The charges against his client are no big deal, Womack feels: After all, U.S. cheerleaders sometimes form a human pyramid, don't they? That's no different, he argues, than forcing naked Iraqi Muslims to lie on top of each other. So photo 1 is pretty much the equivalent of photo 2.

It's like, you know those so-called victims of the Spanish Inquisition who got strapped to the rack? Dude, they were, like, totally just doing some stretching exercises.Abughraibabuse_5Cheerleaders_pyramid_5
