Vise Squad: A Lovely Note From Pam Futerer

It's not every day you get e-mail from a woman who fantasizes about putting your dick in a vise and cutting off your balls.

I don't know who Pam Futerer is, but the message she just sent me is so special I thought I'd share it with you. She has a gripe about this post of mine from a few days ago (Andrew Sullivan linked to it approvingly, so I guess Ms. Futerer wants to castrate him too, even though I don't believe he's quite as "stupid" and "ugly" as I am).

Anyway, Futerer abhors sexual violence and abuse, but only if the victims are womyn women. Here, in its entirety, is what she wrote me.

I envision your penis in a vise.....it is bleeding, profusely....women stand around looking at it, laughing. They ask you if your teeny weeny hurts.....does it?

I will never understand why boys think they have some right to portraying women being abused so violently. The above scenario that violently abuses a male has never been filmed, has it? Yet, women are constantly filmed....dp, atm.....

You're ugly, stupid, and if you think the 1st amendment is about you jacking off to violence against women, I think you're a candidate for castration.

Aw, isn't that sweet?

The offending post doesn't condone any form of non-consensual sexual aggression against anyone, of course. Rather, I pointed out that if "violent" and "abusive" porn is to be outlawed, as the Brits propose, someone will have to define those terms. That's no easy feat, considering that the Falwells and Futerers of this world would like to get rid of all pornography on the grounds that's it's degrading, violent, abusive, it rots your brain, or whatever the complaint du jour is.

A quick visit to Google reveals two salient facts about Pam Futerer:

1. She's active in a faith-based group in Cincinnati called the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center, where she has enthusiastically participated in "Non-Violent Warrior Training." Which makes me appreciate her message even more, seeing as it's brimming with non-violent Jesus-y love.

2. She loves PBS so much that, when someone dares criticize it, her faith-based cheeriness compels her to send that person free plastic-surgery tips. "He needs to have his chin tucked. It's fat and hangs over his collar. He could also benefit from bigger lips. His oral cavity looks more like a hole than a mouth." And so on (click here and scroll halfway down).

Let's see. "Oral cavity"... "Hole"... "Big lips"... "Penis"... "Jacking off"... Is it me or is it getting hot in here? And those knowing, offhandedly-used abbreviations: "DP" (for double penetration)... "ATM" (ass to mouth)... I mean, she has studied this stuff. The girl is, like, hardcore.

If Sigmund Freud were alive and living in Cincinnati, I think he'd find Pam Futerer a fabulous case study.

By the way, the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center that Futerer is affiliated with (as a volunteer and freelance activist, it seems) is sponsored by groups like the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille, the Sisters of Mercy, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the Ursulines of Brown County, and so on (see http://www.ijpc-cincinnati.org/newspr.shtml). I'd like to think that all those nuns aren't in the habit (ha!) of advocating the sexual torture and castration of millions. But it's interesting, isn't it, that this, to some, is what it means to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

ALL the orders you cite have betrayed their vocation, their mission and their vows in favour of "social causes" inspired by sixties emancipation rhetoric and seventies liberation theology and "feminism".

I still remember as a child, and I'm not that old, when these same orders wore real habits, lived in tightnit disciplined communities and ran most of our schools and hospitals......MUCH better and more effeciently than today's technocrats.

They had enormous real-estate holdings, great wealth and vast summer retreats......AND the vacation time to enjoy 'em.

But there's good news!

They're jilted, jaded and dying out.

It's amazing how intolerant all these Jesus lovers are. If only religious people opened their eyes and realized that even if the bible IS the word of God (which it's not), he wouldn't want your sorry asses working for him. You study peace, and then react with hate. You study certain passages, and disregard others.
