City officials in Venice, Fla, are less than smitten with a website run by local muckraker John Patten that is frequently critical of goings-on in the city. "Your website is the worst thing that ever happened to the city of Venice," Mayor Dean Calamaras told Patten at a City Council meeting.
In response, Patten pointed out that the area was struck by tropical storm Gabrielle, and that Mohammed Atta and his cadre were trained at Venice Municipal Airport.
Hizzoner, however, stands by his remarks.
