Gov. Bill Owens of Colorado understands that not everything requires the meddling of politicians. He has vetoed a bill that would've required schools to make sure half of all items offered in vending machines are nutritious.
The governor said lawmakers should look at their own vending machines in the Capitol before they try to tell others what to do. Owens said current law already encourages school districts to adopt their own policies. He agrees that there are health questions, but he said he can't support legislation that — in his words — micromanages school districts and their policies. Owens said two vending machines in the Capitol basement had 10 types of chips, 20 types of candy bars, 13 kinds of cookies and pastries, three types of crackers and two kinds of nuts.

Are the two kinds of nuts Democrats and Republicans?
I'm for there being three or four kinds of nuts :)
