Mufti: "Wives Like Being Beaten"

The Mufti of Egypt, Ali Gum'a, says wife-beating is O.K. in part because many Muslim wives actually enjoy it.

"Women in some cultures are not averse to beatings. They consider it as an expression of masculinity, and as a kind of control, which she herself desires."

Since Muslims, according to their own super-mullahs, get a thrill out of getting thrashed, we've finally got our leverage back!

This argument of the mufti's, without confirmation from individual beatees, is pretty much on the level of Dubya saying 'the Iraqi's like it when we bomb 'em because it makes them feel good.'
