Dave

Probably isn't an arrestable offense unless you happen to be annoying an off duty cop like she was. They are so much better than the rest of us you know that they shouldn't have to put up with our human frailties.

Phelps

Yup, we all know that the real violation was Contempt of Cop. If the neighbor was just another citizen, the cops wouldn't have even responded.

As Say Uncle says, "just like you and me, only better."

Joe

What is really amazing is how this is reported - Never is the headline, "Cops overreact...arrest woman for swearing. Free society in peril." Rather, we get a giddy, and often indulgent view of the ridiculous charge.

Amazing.

David

Well, you have to admire the way they worked a vomit euphemism into the headline.

I agree with Phelps, the real charge is "failure to obey LEO, even when he's off duty and you're not breaking the law".

Doug

Thats gotta be the stupidest thing ive ever heard.. Who doesnt sware? 1 your on your own property, 2 its not against the law, that violates the freedom of speech, 3 the cop who got a wild hair up his ass to do this, should be put in jail for wasting my tax dollars bothering with this puny case, when he should be out trying to catch the guy that just murdered someone. If this is what law enforcement is coming to, expect to see a rise it police fatalities, cuz ppl are gonna fall off there rockers with stupid things like this happening. If words hurt you, dont watch tv, dont ever leave ur house, and dont ever ever listen to the raido.
