New information emerged that reveals that the Dutch prince, who died four years ago, was a money-grubbing creep, liar, and fraudster, who got the Dutch government to do his dirty business for him, and who convinced Dutch politicians to deny that anything untoward had happened even though they knew of his outrageous deeds.
But asking the royal family — an entire dynasty of parasites and spongers — to repay the money that Bernhard stole from the country's war reparations fund and from average Dutch tax payers? Heavens, no — that would only inconvenience his daughter, current queen Beatrix (who, coincidentally, happens to be one of the two or three richest women on earth).
So the royals get to keep all the pilfered money, as they have for centuries; after all, holding these people to account would be "unfeasible and undesirable."
[Note how I respectfully declined to mention Bernhard's past as an SS officer and his involvement in the Lockheed bribery scandal.]
