What do you suppose will happen to you if you're an adult who tells a thirteen-year-old girl to strip off her clothes? If found out, you're looking at some serious jailtime, right?
Sure. Except if you're a school official, and you think that the girl might be hiding drugs. Then you can violate her all you want.
Bonus question: What kind of drug would warrant such action? Is it (a) crack cocaine, (b) crystal meth, or (c) ibuprofen?
Answer here. Also note that no drugs — of any kind — were found.
[thanks, Patrick!]

Let's put this in perspective.
1. There were judges who reviewed this case who think strip searching 13 year old girls for headache medication is AOK.
2. The majority ruled the search was an "excessive" reaction. If we had a real justice system, just bringing this incident to the attention of the authorities would have resulted in arrest and criminal charges for these administrators.
3. As the fact that this assault was conducted without consequences, and the consequence free ruling make clear, we live in a two-class society comprised of: 1) government officials, down to even lowly school administrators, for whom even felony assault is without consequences; and 2) the rest of us, who can be arrested for just taking a photo in a public place.
