Motorist gets a speeding ticket but declines to sign it. So the taser comes out:
Pete Schulte is a defense lawyer, and a former police officer. He has no involvement with this case, but agreed to review the video, along with Fort Worth's taser policy. "It's very clear in the policy that if someone is showing passive noncompliance, they're not in a position to be tasered," he said.
After investigating, however, police supervisors determined Officer Jeandron did nothing wrong.
Google the string "officer did nothing wrong" and you'll currently get 322,000 hits. How many of those instances would you say reflect cases where the cop was, in reality, in violation of the law or his department's policies? Half? I'm just guessing.
