"The [public school] cheerleaders [who habitually display banners with Bible verses urging fans and players to "commit to the Lord"] are not trying to push a religious cause, to shove religion down someone's throat," said local youth minister Brad Scott, who was LFO High's class president in 2004. "The cheerleaders are just using Scripture to show motivation and inspiration to the players and the fans."
I never said to ban certain books from the local library, I just don't ever want anyone to see them there.
I didn't get that woman pregnant, I just ejaculated in her a little.
I didn't beat my elderly neighbor to death, I was just showing him that basebal bats are harder than skulls.
I didn't eat the missing piece of pie, I only took a couple of dozen little bites.
I don't want to encourage people to firebomb abortion clinics, I'm just saying that playing with molotov cocktails in one would be really interesting.
I didn't say that the First Amendment's establishment clause doesn't apply to our public school, I just want students to be able to yell Bible verses through bullhorns at the bake sale.
Why do you have a problem with that?

I don't hate Christians, I just hate everything that Christians do that other people don't.

I don't have a problem with any of those things especially the public school stuff.
Look, those mind warping, prison like gov't institutions were rendered irrelevent long ago and the only people that do not realize that yet are, 1) extremely ignorant or retarded or, 2) using them as cheap extensions of the daycare mania.
As the dumbing down continues unabated I expect to see all sorts of weird stuff going on in those prisons.

I went to the article and started reading the comments. It just amazes me how people think it is OK for Cheerleaders who are representatives of the public school to have religious signs.
I just wish there was a cheerleading squad that would have signs from other religions. I would just love to see what those people would have to about a muslim sign. What would their argument be to take down the muslim sign?
I also like the people that say majority rules. Well, these people forget that a majority thought slavery was fine. And that a majority thought women should not vote.
People forget that the Constitution is a living and breathing document that can be changed it deemed necessary. Tell those people to feel free to change the first amendment.

The single most pronounced feature of religionists is their utter disregard for the truth.
