Greenwald gets it right (again). The way the U.S. government redefines words willy-nilly, and the way editors and journalists all over the country follow suit like slavish little puppy-dogs, is ... well, Orwellian would be hackneyed, right? So let's say, Eric Arthur Blairesque.

"Blowback is a bitch".
& how many non-Americans will cheer when it, inevitably, happens?
"To save the village we had to destroy it."
& I bet those pesky villagers loved it.

Torture and death by abuse and neglect is also becomming common place in American jails and prisons. Just a few days ago for instance, in the Florida Pinellas County jail, a mentally ill patient was jailed instead of hospitalised. She was denied medication and not watched for two or three days and was found dead in her cell. Cause of death - electrolite imbalance. The jails' medical and inmate watch logs had been forged, and the cameras had clearly shown that she had not been watched. They are being sued. These are fairly common ocurrances in the state of Florida. There are more Florida travesties on jackboot.com
