King of Hypocrisy

Interesting take on Peter King (R-NY), the incoming chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.

Mr. King, over a long period, provided open support to the Irish Republican Army. I guess those Irish killers were [cough] "freedom fighters," not really terrorists. The difference might of course be lost on the 1,800 people the IRA wound up murdering from 1971 to 2005. The assassins used

...the car-bomb [as] the modern terrorist weapon du jour and perfected the manufacture of fertilizer-based home-made explosives of the sort now routinely used by jihadists." [source]

Gotta appreciate the irony that Rep. King is now one of America's most powerful and indefatigable terrorist hunters.
